Same sex partner

What do you think of when you hear the words 'same sex partner'?

We get so used to hearing 'same-sex partner' in a political / social context that when a doctor says those words it can take a little while to realise that they're saying 'same sex-partner?' and the answer for a faithful, married heterosexual is not 'no-no' but 'yes'.
