Thank you, Cecilia

Last night we went to see Cecilia Bartoli* in concert at the Queensland Performing Arts Complex in South Brisbane.

Sorry, I can't give you the run down on the pieces she performed as I didn't buy a program. I've been a fan for a while so I didn't didn't care that all the songs were in Italian and they weren't things I recognised - I was just wanting to hear her live.

She and her pianist, Sergio Ciomei, returned three times for encores and if they'd given us more I'm sure no one would have complained. It was after 10 pm by that stage so I'm sure that she would be wanting to get some sleep in preparation for flights and her next performance. This is why I say, "Thank you" to her as a generous performer.

* Cecilia is Italian, so the "c" sound is hard like "ch" in "chief" not an "s" sound as most English speakers would normally pronounce the name.
